Prof. M Niaz Asadullah

Dr Niaz Asadullah received his Doctorate degree in Economics from Oxford University in 2005. Currently he is a Professor of Development Economics at the University of Malaya, Malaysia. He has held research/ visiting appointments at the Universities of Oxford, Reading, Manchester and Kent (UK). He’s also a Research Fellow of the IZA Institute of Labor Economics and Global Labor Organization Lead for South-East Asia. His research relates to labor market, poverty, education and gender issues in South & East Asia. His work has been supported by the Australian Development Research Award Scheme, Leverhulme Trust, International Growth Centre and the DFID (UK).
