With over 28 years of experience in journalism, Ms Kleden is the recipient of the SK Trimurti Award 2009 for her contribution to press freedom, represented through her investigative reports and educational works to help young journalists. She is a senior journalist of Tempo Media Group -- and the former Chief Editor of Tempo English Weekly and member of Tempo Newsroom Executive Board . Ms Kleden graduated from the Faculty of Social & Political Studies, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, and specialized in Politics & Mass Communications. She has gained several ongoing journalistic training on investigation in ASEAN, United States, and Europe. She has travelled to more than 33 countries around the globe to work as a professional working journalist. Education has always been her true passion. She is a guest lecturer at several universities and national media institutions, and actively contributes her experience in many journalist educational projects in her country and abroad. She is also a frequent moderator for national and regional seminars and conferences, especially on the following topics: investigative journalism, feature writing, the art of interview, public speaking, education, inter-faith dialogue, military intelligence reform, media & geopolitics of Indonesia, and how to work with media on bilateral issues between Indonesia and foreign countries. She is a trainer at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Centre for Education and Training (Pusdiklat Kemenlu) since 2010. She delivers special topics about media for the Indonesian diplomats such as How to Deal with Media in Indonesia and in the Assigned Countries during Quiet Time and Crisis Time.
